You’re Asking the Wrong Question
When you’re thinking about having a psychic or mediumship reading, there’s one question that naturally comes to mind:
“How much does a reading cost?”
Of course you want to know the price. We all have budgets, and it’s important to make choices that feel right for you.
But what if that’s not actually the most helpful question to ask?
What if there’s a better question?
“What will this reading give me?”
Because the value of a reading isn’t really found in the amount of time you spend with your reader.
It’s found in what you take away from that experience.
A reading can give you peace of mind.
It can give you clarity when your thoughts feel muddled and you don’t know which way to turn.
It can give you healing when you’ve been carrying something for a long time.
It can give you direction when you’re standing at a crossroads.
And it can give you answers to questions you’ve been sitting with for months, or sometimes even years.
So perhaps the question isn’t:
“Is $X amount, too much for a reading?”
Perhaps the better question is:
“What would peace of mind, clarity, healing, direction and answers be worth to me?”
A reading isn’t something you use up in 30 minutes
This is something I’ve learned from over 25 years of working with clients.
I’ve had people come to me for a reading and then return five, six or even seven years later — sometimes longer.
When they return, they often tell me they have remembered things we discussed years before.
They’ve made decisions based on the guidance they received.
They’ve gone back to something I said because it suddenly made sense in a completely different situation.
The reading didn’t end when our time together ended.
The information stayed with them.
The guidance stayed with them.
The perspective stayed with them.
And sometimes, the words from that reading have continued to provide reassurance long after the reading itself was over.
That’s something worth thinking about.
If you have a reading today and the guidance continues to help you for years, is it really just a $$$ experience?
Or is it an investment in yourself that continues to give you something long after you’ve finished the reading?
Think about what you’re really investing in
We spend money on so many things that are temporary.
A meal is eaten.
A holiday comes to an end.
A new outfit eventually goes out of fashion.
A beauty treatment lasts for a while.
There’s nothing wrong with spending money on these things. We all deserve to enjoy them.
But a reading can be different.
You’re investing in yourself.
You’re investing in having someone help you step back from your situation and see it differently.
You’re investing in understanding what may be happening beneath the surface.
You’re investing in having someone help you make sense of the things that have been troubling you.
And most importantly, you’re investing in how you feel when you leave.
Lighter.
Clearer.
More confident.
More peaceful.
More prepared to move forward.
And no, I’m not saying every reading will change your life
I don’t want you to think I’m telling you that a reading is some magical answer to every problem.
It’s not.
A reading doesn’t make your decisions for you.
It doesn’t take away your responsibility for your own life.
And it certainly shouldn’t make you dependent on a reader.
My job is to empower you, not to take your power away.
I want you to leave with information you can use, clarity around your situation and, where possible, practical direction about what you can do next.
The decisions are still yours.
Your life is still yours.
You are always in the driver’s seat.
So the next time you hear a reading price…
Before immediately deciding, “That’s expensive,” pause for a moment.
Ask yourself:
What am I actually receiving for that investment?
Could I receive clarity about something I’ve been struggling with?
Could I finally have peace of mind?
Could I receive information that helps me make a decision?
Could I gain a different perspective that changes how I approach the next few years of my life?
Could the guidance I receive stay with me for years?
For some people, the answer will be yes.
And for others, a reading simply won’t be the right investment for them right now.
And that’s okay.
But I want you to understand why I don’t look at the price of a reading in isolation.
When I say a reading is $XX amount, I’m not asking you to spend $XX amount on a 30 minutes of my time.
I’m offering you the opportunity to invest in yourself, your clarity, your peace of mind and your future.
And after doing this work for over 25 years, I’ve seen time and time again that the value of a reading isn’t always found on the day you have it.
Sometimes you don’t understand the significance of something I’ve told you until months or years later.
Sometimes the words come back to you exactly when you need them.
That’s when you realise the reading wasn’t just 30 minutes of your life.
It became part of your journey.
So perhaps you’re asking the wrong question.
Don’t just ask:
“How much does a reading cost Rechelle?”
Ask:
“What could this reading give me, and what would that be worth to me?”
That is where the real value of a reading can be found.
Hugs
