You either love it or hate it!
When was the last time you took a moment to reflect on how far you have come on your spiritual development path?
I’m guilty of not taking timeout to reflect on how far I come with my spiritual growth & development. However, when I’m with my students every Tuesday evening at the end of each 10 week term, I invite them to acknowledge just how far they have come since starting & being part of my sacred circle of trust. It’s amazing to recognise how much we have all come through in both the good moments & bad.
So, yes, I do this 4 times a year which is enough for me.
I’m definitely not religious & to be honest Christmas really isn’t my favourite time of the year. I don’t have a favourite time of year, I’m just happy conquering another one. If I didn’t have my 3 beautiful daughters it would be just another day to create & day dream about what I would like to bring into my life.
I’m sounding like a Christmas grinch! Don’t get me wrong it’s nice to be amongst those we love and care about but I think as we get older things change. We know about the Santa club & as your kids get older they find out too, which takes the magic of Christmas away for me.
I use this time of year to start thinking about all the ways I would like to improve myself, relationships & business. I buy new stationary which I love! You can never have to much in my opinion as a paper lover. The appointment book, journals, dairies, planners are new & clean before I get my pencils out & my creative juices start flowing.
2020 is a number 4 year so this will be a year of building strong foundations. Starting fresh & building upon the progress you have made in 2019 which is a number 3 year & all about personal progress.
When our foundations are strong we feel better equipped to be able to handle what comes up unexpectedly. So for me this means, constantly working on my inner world so my outer world is in balance. Setting your boundaries & knowing how to honour yourself first is a vital ingredient for self-love.
If you’re like me & not a big fan of the commercialism, chaos & hype that comes with Christmas. Do yourself a favour & withdraw, so you can take some timeout to reflect on how far you’ve come in 2019
Be proud of your achievements, learn from your mistakes & don’t sit in anger or guilt for things that have gone wrong. You don’t need to carry that extra baggage. Look at that gorgeous person staring back atyou when you brush your teeth & just say, I’m proud of you. Take a deep breath & you’ll be all set for a new day.
My Christmas is very low key. I have my babies & Folks for Christmas breakfast. We eat yummy food, nothing over the top. Exchange a couple of gifts & then I spend the afternoon in complete solitude when my girls got to their Dad’s. It’s a perfect Christmas Day for me.
How do you celebrate?
Let me know in the comments, I love hearing from you.
From my family to yours
I wish you a very Merry Christmas & should you not celebrate then Happy Holidays
All my love & BIG FAT hugs
